description La presente investigación analiza la relación entre la autoestima y el impacto psicosocial de la estética dental en estudiantes escolares de una institución educativa en La Perla, Callao. El estudio, de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño transversal y correlacional, incluyó a 175 adolescentes de 3°, 4° y 5° año de secundaria. Para recolectar datos, se utilizaron el cuestionario PIDAQ y la escala de autoestima de Rosenberg, validados previamente. Los resultados evidenciaron que el 88.6% de los participantes presentaron un bajo impacto psicosocial de la estética dental, mientras que el 62.3% mostró niveles altos de autoestima. El análisis estadístico reveló una relación significativa entre ambas variables, especialmente en función del sexo y la edad. Se concluye que una buena estética dental está asociada con una mayor autoestima y bienestar psicosocial, subrayando la importancia de la atención odontológica en la adolescencia. Este estudio aporta herramientas para desarrollar estrategias de intervención temprana, mejorando la calidad de vida y el desarrollo emocional de los adolescentes.
