description El dolor en la columna lumbar es una patología muy común en los deportistas. Existe una amplia lista de patologías que afectan la región lumbar (espalda baja) en el deportista. Según van pasando los años las patologías se incrementan, si bien en el año 2009 las lesiones eran esguince lumbar, enfermedad degenerativa discal y espondilólisis; ya para el año 2012 habían otras lesiones como espondilólisis y espondilolistesis, fractura vertebral, patología degenerativa del disco, desgarro y distensión muscular, desgarro anular del anillo fibroso, hernia del disco lumbar, protrusión discal; en un artículo del año 2017 relata que hernia discal, enfermedad degenerativa de disco y la espondilólisis estas tres lesiones son afecciones lumbares más prevalentes en los deportistas. En el presente trabajo como son muchas las disciplinas deportivas me enfoque en las lesiones más comunes según dos revistas científicas, la primera revista del año 2008 “Lesiones de la columna lumbar en deportistas” por Martin Tejeda y la segunda revista del año 2012”

There is a wide list of pathologies that affect the lower back (lower back) in the athlete. As the years go by, the pathologies increase, although in 2009 the lesions were lumbar sprain, degenerative disc disease and spondylolysis; by 2012, there were other injuries such as spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis, vertebral fracture, degenerative disk pathology, tear and muscle distention, annular tear of the fibrous annulus, lumbar disc herniation, disc protrusion; in an article from the year 2017, she reports that herniated disc, degenerative disc disease and spondylolysis, these three lesions are lumbar conditions more prevalent in athletes.
