La metodología fue básica, cualitativa y con diseño de estudio de caso, el escenario fue una institución educativa de secundaria en San Juan de Lurigancho en Lima, la población fueron estudiantes de quinto año de secundaria y la muestra representativa con 15 estudiantes, siendo la técnica utilizada una entrevista semiestructurada y el instrumento fue un guion de 15 preguntas abiertas, aplicada a los estudiantes y para el análisis de resultados se utilizó la herramienta especializada el software ATLAS. ti 9. Como resultado se observaron seis coeficientes de coocurrencias cuyos valores fueron de 0.75, 0.50, 0,50, 0.48, 0.47 y 0.41, que estuvieron vinculados a cinco subcategorías previamente planteadas: Componente interpersonal, Componente intrapersonal, Componente de adaptabilidad, Componente del manejo del estrés y Componente del estado de ánimo general, dichos coeficientes respaldan la validez de estos componentes como factores influyentes en la inteligencia emocional y social. En conclusión, se confirmó el cumplimiento del objetivo general, destacando la importancia de estos componentes en el aprendizaje de las matemáticas, y con ello, se brinda educación de calidad a los estudiantes.
