description El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la relación que existe entre el estrés laboral y el engagement en el personal de una municipalidad distrital de Puno, 2021. El diseño que se utilizó fue no experimental, de tipo descriptivo correlacional. Se utilizó toda la población. Los instrumentos que se utilizaron para la medición de las dos variables fueron: el cuestionario de Estrés Laboral de la OIT – OMS Ivancevich Mattenson (1989) adaptada en Perú por Suarez (2013) y la Escala Utrecht de Engagement de los autores Schaufeli y Bakker (2003) adaptada en Perú por Ortiz, et al. (2020). De los resultados obtenidos se determinó que existe correlación alta e inversa entre el estrés laboral y el engagement además presencia de estrés y bajo engagement en el personal de una municipalidad distrital de Puno. En conclusión, que a mayor estrés laboral menor engagement o viceversa.
