Por ende, se llevó a cabo una investigación aplicada con diseño no experimental, Descriptivo y Correlacional. Se estudió una población total de 90 personas y una muestra de 73 profesionales, se aplicó el cuestionario Maslach Burnout y la lista de cotejo de las historias clínicas como instrumentos de recolección de datos. La muestra estuvo constituida por 28 médicos, 26 enfermeras y 19 obstetras. Como resultado se obtuvo que el 58.8% del personal manifiesta Burnout alto, un 9.5% presentó síndrome de Burnout medio y el 9.5% presentó burnout bajo. En cuanto a la calidad de registro se encontró que el 31.51% tiene un llenado apto y el 68.49% una calidad media. Existe relación significativa entre el síndrome de burnout y la calidad de registro de la historia clínica en el personal del hospital Tomas Lafora con un valor de significancia de p= 0.018.
