El estudio se realizó siguiendo la ruta cuantitativa de investigación, mediante la aplicación del diseño no experimental, de corte transversal, correlacional. La muestra de estudio estuvo conformada por 60 trabajadores del distrito fiscal. Mediante la técnica de la encuesta se realizó la medición de las variables, utilizando dos cuestionarios estandarizados confiables y debidamente validados por expertos. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron un p_valor = 0.000 < 0.05; t=0.757 determinados mediante la prueba no paramétrica de Tau-b de Kendal. Se concluye que la gestión municipal se relaciona con la planeación estratégica en forma directa, positiva, alta, es decir que una eficiente gestión municipal está asociada a una mejor planeación estratégica.
