Fue de tipo básica y de nivel explicativo, donde participaron 204 residentes varones entre jóvenes y adultos de un centro de rehabilitación del distrito de Lurigancho Chosica, sus edades oscilan entre los 17 y 80 años a quienes se aplicó el Inventario de Ansiedad de Beck et al. (1988), la cual fue adaptada en Perú por Leonardo et al. (2023) y la Escala de Propensión a la Conducta Violenta desarrollada por Sánchez et al. (2022) en Perú. Los resultados del análisis predictivo muestran que la ansiedad explica significativamente el 99% de la variabilidad en las conductas violentas (R² = .99, p < .001), indicando que este patrón no es producto del azar. Además, el coeficiente beta (β = .99) refleja una fuerte influencia positiva de la ansiedad sobre las conductas violentas, como lo son la ira, agresión indirecta, hostilidad y agresión física en los residentes del centro de rehabilitación. En conclusión, se confirmó que la ansiedad tiene un papel determinante en el desarrollo de conductas violentas en los residentes del centro de rehabilitación evidenciando el rol predictor de la ansiedad en la manifestación de conductas violentas.
