description La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar las diferencias en la autoestima entre estudiantes del sexto grado de las instituciones educativas Leoncio Prado y Virgen de Guadalupe, Puente Piedra, 2018, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básica, nivel descriptivo-comparativo, diseño no experimental, corte transversal; la población estuvo conformada por 120 estudiantes y la muestra por 60, 30 de cada institución educativa; se empleó la técnica de la encuesta y como instrumentos el inventario de autoestima escolar de Stanly Coopersmith, compuesto de 58 ítems, según los resultados el valor de la U de Mann-Whitney = 207,000 y el p-valor = ,000 < ,050, se concluyó que existen diferencias significativas en el nivel de autoestima entre estudiantes del sexto grado de primaria de las instituciones educativas Leoncio Prado y Virgen de Guadalupe, Puente Piedra, 2018.
