El problema que se identificó fue en qué medida la auditoría ambiental mejora la gestión medioambiental en la Municipalidad Distrital de San Andrés, Cutervo, es por ello que se planteó como objetivo principal elaborar una propuesta de auditoría ambiental para mejorar la gestión medioambiental en la Municipalidad Distrital de San Andrés, Cutervo. Esta investigación muestra un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño no experimental y un alcance descriptivo – propositivo. Como instrumentos de recolección de datos se utilizó la encuesta, entrevista y guía de análisis documental, que fue aplicado a 7 trabajadores de la Municipalidad Distrital de San Andrés. En cuanto al resultado obtenido se determinó que la propuesta de auditoría ambiental va a ayudar a mejorar el uso de los recursos ambientales, asimismo se podrá determinar cómo manejar los recursos con el fin de mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas y del bosque situado en el lugar y esto va a generar mayor turismo y dar un realce a la comunidad.
