La investigación es cuantitativa de tipo aplicada. La muestra se conformó por 65 adultos con cáncer de 21 años a más, mediante un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. El diseño fue no experimental, transeccional descriptiva-correlacional. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la Escala de Ansiedad de Templer (DAS) y el Cuestionario sobre Salud Mental (PHQ-9). A partir de los resultados se concluyó que existe una correlación directa (rho=0.279) entre las variables depresión y ansiedad ante la muerte.
