description Esta investigación presentó como fin principal Implementar un sistema documental para la Secretaría General de la Comunidad Andina. Los instrumentos esgrimidos fueron cuestionarios en escala de Likert para la variable gestión documental. Los mismos se sometieron al análisis de confiabilidad y validez, lo cual estableció que dichos instrumentos tienen validez y confiabilidad. El método hipotético deductivo se utilizó, la investigación fue aplicada, de nivel descriptivo, de enfoque cuantitativo; de diseño no experimental transversal. 112 individuos conformaron la población y el muestreo fue de tipo probabilístico aleatorio simple siendo este 87 que conformaron la muestra. La técnica usada en la recolección de datos fue encuesta y los instrumentos fueron cuestionarios que se validaron mediante el juicio de expertos y su confiabilidad por medio del estadístico de fiabilidad Alfa de Cronbach. Los resultados evidenciaron que es necesario implementar un sistema documental para la Secretaría General de la Comunidad Andina, ya que se detectó un nivel regular de gestión documental en dicha Institución.
