description En el estudio se buscó determinar la relación entre la violencia familiar y depresión en estudiantes de 4to y 5to año de secundaria de una Institución Educativa Nacional de Chimbote - 2024. Bajo un diseño correlacional simple, donde la muestra estuvo conformada por 160 estudiantes de 4to y 5to de secundaria de una Institución Educativa. Los resultados evidenciaron que la depresión muestra una correlación mínima necesaria con la violencia familiar general (rho=.239**). Por tanto se concluyó que existe una relación positiva entre el nivel de depresión y la incidencia de violencia familiar, sugiriendo que a mayor violencia familiar la depresión irá en aumento.
