description Esta investigación tiene como objetivo el relacionar el soporte social y la depresión en pacientes con tuberculosis pulmonar en el Hospital Distrital Santa Isabel de Trujillo. Siendo una investigación aplicada, de un enfoque cuantitativo y de un diseño no experimental, con una población muestral de 16 pacientes, empleando como técnica la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario Medical Outcomes Study (Mos) y Subescala de Depresión (DASS-21). Obteniendo como resultados, En cuanto a las características sociodemográficas de los pacientes, el 62.5% tiene una edad de 45 a 60 años, asimismo el 68.8% son mujeres, y el 56.3% tiene un nivel secundario y el 43.8% son casados. Asimismo, en cuanto al nivel de soporte social fue de un nivel máximo con un 62.5% y el nivel de depresión fue no depresión con un 56.3%. concluyendo que si existe una relación inversamente proporcional entre las variables con un Rho de Spearman de - 0.482 con un p=0.049.
