Esta investigación tiene la característica de ser una investigación descriptiva no experimental transaccional correlacional causal, bajo el enfoque cuantitativo y de tipo aplicada, aplicado a una población de 50 colaboradores del área de Gestión ambiental de una municipalidad del Perú,2022 ; a quienes se les realizó dos cuestionarios: uno para la medición de la variable gestión municipal y el segundo para la variable segregación de residuos sólidos, cada cuestionario estuvo conformado por 20 y 12 preguntas respectivamente, los cuales que nos ayudaron a realizar los cálculos estadísticos. Se concluye que la GM tiene impacto significativo en la SGRS en una municipalidad del Perú, 2022, con un valor de Tau-b de Kendal =0,233 con un sig= 0,021 (p<0.05) y un coeficiente de Rho de Spearman = 0,334 (positiva moderada).
