description El objetivo de este estudio fue el Diseño de la infraestructura vial para mejorar la transitabilidad vehicular y peatonal del casco urbano del distrito Bellavista, Jaén. Actualmente la vías se encuentran en su mayoría a nivel de afirmado, lo que dificulta el tránsito vehicular y peatonal, considerando el estado regular de las mismas, se vienen generando algunos accidentes de tránsito, fue necesario analizar varios aspectos como las precipitaciones locales que se tienen en cuenta para el diseño de obras de drenaje, el tipo de suelo, CBR, así como el estudio de tráfico que determinan el espesor del pavimento, además se consideraron las pendientes entre 05 y 11%, todo ello con el fin de diseñar un pavimento de acorde a las características de la zona tanto de suelo como de clima, por lo que se ha considerado además de los estudios antes mencionado un estudio hidrológico. Cabe indicar que los pavimentos urbanos traen consigo desarrollo local, dado que pueden generar fuentes de trabajo en su etapa de ejecución o dinamismo económico en la post-inversión todo ello que el embellecimiento de una ciudad incrementa el turismo local.
