description El objetivo principal de la investigación fue determinar la manera como las habilidades blandas se relacionan con la gestión directiva en las instituciones educativas del nivel secundario del distrito de Ayacucho, 2016. El estudio se realizó con el diseño transversal correlacional, basándose en la investigación no experimental. La muestra de estudio estuvo constituida por 40 directores y subdirectores; la información se recogió aplicando el cuestionario sobre habilidades blandas y el cuestionario sobre gestión educativa; en el análisis estadístico de los datos se empleó el Coeficiente de Correlación de Spearman, lo que permitió determinar los resultados esperados, las cuales se organizaron en tablas de doble entrada, para su representación y análisis cuantitativo. En consecuencia, los resultados consignan que las habilidades blandas se relaciona con el aprendizaje la gestión educativa de los directivos; considerando que cuando las habilidades blandas son deficientes la gestión directiva es inadecuada y viceversa (rs = 0, 959; p < 0,05).
