description El presente trabajo titulado “El feminicidio como una representación del populismo penal. Lima, 2022”, tuvo como objetivo investigar si la tipificación del feminicidio es considerada como una representación del populismo penal en Lima, 2022, la investigación doctoral se realizó mediante el paradigma naturalista construccionista con enfoque cualitativo; el diseño fue de análisis temático, se aplicó como técnica de investigación la entrevista semi estructurada con muestreo por saturación de 8 informantes claves. Se llegó a la conclusión que la tipificación del feminicidio surgió por la presión mediática de los medios de prensa y la sociedad, por lo que es considerada como populismo penal, siendo de ultima ratio, la propuesta que pretenda derogar el artículo 108-B del Código Penal, toda vez que vulnera el derecho a la igualdad de género.
