Para el diseño del Centro Polifuncional Municipal se ha tenido en cuenta el área que consta de 13 100 m2 y se encuentra ubicado en el terreno que antiguamente era el aeropuerto de Iquitos, llamado también “Aeródromo Teniente Bergerie”, actualmente no se realiza ninguna operación militar y le asignaron como la sede del “Grupo Aéreo 42”. Este Centro Polifuncional Municipal contiene un diseño innovador que brindará oportunidades de crecimiento personal a los niños y adolescentes y cuenta con espacios lúdicos de diversión y aprendizaje que permita desarrollar sus capacidades educativas, culturales y deportivas, generando integración social en la comunidad.
