El tirano Pezón de pecho de ceniza, Anairetes alpinus (Carriker, 1933) (Aves, Tyrannidae), es un ave en peligro de extinción y muy especializada que habita los bosques de Polylepis (Rosaceae) de Perú y Bolivia. Aquí, informamos 2 nuevas localidades en el departamento de Junín, en el centro de Perú, donde se detectó en bosques dominados por Polylepis canoi, P. rodolfo-vasquezii y una tercera especie de Polylepis no descrita.
