Así, se busca promover la ética en la ciencia y fortalecer la integridad académica en las instituciones u organizaciones. |

This document aims to explain, in a clear and simple way, some key concepts used to identify this type of publication. The main characteristics of predatory journals are described, and other types are presented, such as hijacked, infected, and questionable journals. In addition, practical recommendations are provided to help students, faculty, and researchers make better decisions when publishing.
