That is why the project's main motivation is to be part of the change to save the planet, to replace a product made from conventional plastics to one that is made from a natural resource, is biodegradable and eco-friendly with the environment. The purpose of this project is to evaluate the pre-feasibility of the installation of a plant to produce biodegradable plates and cutlery from cornstarch, establishing its technical, economic, market and social feasibility, considering a great opportunity and alternative for the industry of the plastics. Eight study chapter, the calculation of the projected demand that is expected from this project will be presented. La contaminación por residuos plásticos es uno de los principales problemas medioambientales que estamos atravesando en la actualidad, este problema es uno de los mayores desafíos ambientales que está sufriendo el siglo XXI. Es por ello, que el proyecto tiene como principal motivación ser parte del cambio para salvar el planeta, sustituir un producto hecho de plásticos convencionales a uno que esté hecho por un recurso natural, sea biodegradable y eco amigable con el medioambiente. El presente proyecto tiene como finalidad evaluar la prefactibilidad de la instalación de una planta productora de platos y cubiertos biodegradables a partir de la fécula de maíz, estableciendo su viabilidad técnica, económica, de mercado y social, considerando una gran oportunidad y alternativa para la industria de los plásticos. La producción de platos y cubiertos biodegradables. Es una oportunidad para cumplir con las expectativas en el cuidado medioambiental. Se desarrollarán ocho capítulos importantes para determinar si el proyecto de investigación es factible o no. En el capítulo de la evaluación del tamaño de planta, se realizará las evaluaciones correspondientes de los siguientes factores: los recursos, el mercado y la tecnología. El VAN económico es de 1 347 846,46 nuevos soles y el TIR económico es de 68,21%. El VAN financiero es de 1 478 491,92 nuevos soles y el TIR financiero es de 101%.
