This research project seeks to demonstrate the feasibility of implementing a plant for the production of biodegradable bags made from potato starch. This research has two chapters, the aim of the first chapter is to define the objectives, as well as the technical, economic and social justifications to carry out the project. All of this is justified through the reference base. In addition, in this chapter, key concepts are defined to understand the research. On the other hand, in the second chapter the product was defined in its different levels, the market study was carried out and the analysis of location and plant size was elaborated, which resulted in the finding of the optimal location of the plant to obtain profits. Furthermore, a financial analysis was also done, which showed that the project has a payback period shorter than its useful life. Finally, an analysis of social indicators was performed, which showed that the project would be beneficial not only for the shareholders but also for society.
