description La apuesta por la paridad en el sistema de administración de justicia contribuye a modificar patrones socioculturales y estereotipos de género que reproducen exclusiones y mantienen a las mujeres asociadas a determinados espacios y niveles jerárquicos en este sistema. No basta con promover la presencia equilibrada de las juezas y las fiscales en sus respectivas instituciones, es necesario que esta apuesta sea parte de una política pública integral que tenga por objetivo promover la participación efectiva de las mujeres, en condiciones de igualdad material, ampliando su aplicación a espacios relacionados como el universitario y académico, entre otros. En este contexto, la autora realiza un diagnóstico sobre la conformación de jueces, juezas y fiscales en el sistema de justicia, para posteriormente determinar los avances y retos de la paridad. Asimismo, el artículo presenta recomendaciones y estrategias para lograr la paridad en el sector de justicia.
