Likewise, the historical background that characterizes each of the countries from which the authors mark their positions is presented.En el presente artículo, el autor analiza las posturas a favor y en contra de la institución jurídica del jurado criminal, que tendrían influencia en América Latina en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX y los primeros decenios del siglo XX.Ello se realiza a la luz de las opiniones vertidas por autores europeos y latinoamericanos cuyos discursos estuvieron caracterizados por connotaciones jurídico-políticas sumamente variadas e, incluso, opuestas en su totalidad.
