Descripción
Sumario:Companies that seek to be differentiated and increase their profitability, including consulting, whose principal asset is knowledge, often implement innovation processes. However, there is a lack of knowledge about how innovation develops in these organizations. This paper aims to show innovation practices in health and safety consulting companies in Bogotá. After comparing several methods to characterize innovation, one that deals with knowledge and its management was selected to develop a descriptive study. The study identified three key aspects of innovation development: creating spaces for informal knowledge exchange, using information technologies to gather knowledge generated in each service, and establishing the registry of excellence to monitor innovation activities and results. These results enable these consulting firms to allocate resources to such actions to improve the implementation of innovation.
