La manipulación mínima es muy importante ya que evitará las alteraciones en el neurodesarrollo del prematuro. Objetivo: Describir las recomendaciones sobre la manipulación mínima en el recién nacido prematuro de la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales. Metodología: Corresponde a un diseño de revisión documental descriptiva. Resultados: Se recopilo un total de 20 artículos científicos de estudios cualitativos y cuantitativos elaborados en los últimos 5 años que se han publicado a nivel internacional, nacional y local. Conclusiones: La manipulación mínima debe ser considerada una estrategia fundamental en el cuidado del prematuro en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales, ya que esta práctica está diseñada para reducir el estrés, el dolor y la sobrecarga de estímulos, proporcionando un entorno más favorable para su desarrollo, utilizando métodos de comunicación no verbal, voz y tacto suaves durante la manipulación.
