description To determine the degree of influence of family communication and family self-concept on life satisfaction in university students from the city of Juliaca. A cross-sectional predictive design and non-probabilistic sampling were used. The sample consisted of 823 university students. It used Family Communication Scale (FCS), AF5 Self-Concept Scale, and School Satisfaction Scale (EBSE). Show that the proposed model had a good fit 2 (186) = 781.8, p < .001, CFI = .974, RMSEA = .062, SRMR = .040, evidencing that family communication and family self-concept influence on life satisfaction. It is concluded that family communication and self-concept influence on life satisfaction in university students.

It is concluded that family communication and self-concept influence on life satisfaction in university students.El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar el grado de influencia de la comunicación familiar y autoconcepto familiar sobre la satisfacción con la vida en estudiantes universitarios de la ciudad de Juliaca. Se empleó un diseño predictivo transversal y un muestreo no probabilístico. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 823 estudiantes universitarios. El 56,3% eran mujeres, cuyas edades oscilaban entre 17 y 38 años (M = 22,02 y DS = 4,82). Se utilizó Escala de comunicación Familiar (FCS), Escala de autoconcepto AF5 de García y Musitu (ECT) y Escala de satisfacción con los estudios (EBSE). Los resultados muestran que el modelo propuesto tuvo un buen ajuste c2(186) = 781.8, p < .001, CFI = .974, RMSEA = .062, SRMR = .040, evidenciando que la comunicación familiar (b = .22, p < .001) y el autoconcepto familiar (b = .52, p < .001) influyen sobre la satisfacción con la vida.
