Finally, an assessment of the application of such a perspective in educational environments is presented. Keywords: Action research – education – social sciencesEl objetivo del presente estudio es explorar el concepto de la investigación acción y esbozar su aplicación en el contexto educativo. Con este fin, se describen los conceptos y presupuestos teóricos relacionados a este enfoque, así como se esboza la forma cómo las diferencias entre ciencias naturales y ciencias sociales provocaron la aparición del mismo, mencionando los aportes teóricos de Lewin, Adorno y Habermas. Finalmente, se analiza cómo este enfoque de investigación podría ayudarnos a conocer cómo mejorar las prácticas relacionadas a la educación en el país.
