The results indicate that in families, in this context, the traditional distribution of tasks in the home persists, the mother is in charge of cooking and caring for the younger and older members, although the participation of other members in the tasks isobserved. domestic. It was found that the cell phone was the most used technological device to interact with family, friends, and work. Virtuality has led adults to develop digital skills, with young people being the ones who have developed them. Virtuality has transformed family relationships, improving communication between parents and children and with other family members, although some point out that they remain the same.El objetivo del artículo es analizar los efectos de la virtualidad en la dinámica familiar en los sectores populares de Lima metropolitana en el contexto de la crisis sanitaria por COVID 19 entre los años 2020-2022. Los resultados que se presentan forman parte de una investigación más amplia, la que se desarrolló mediante un enfoque cuantitativo. La muestra está constituida por 370 familias y el cuestionario se aplicó al jefe de hogar. Los resultados señalan que, en las familias de este contexto, persiste la distribución tradicional de tareas en el hogar, es la madre la encargada de cocinar y cuidar a los miembros pequeños y adultos mayores, aunque ya se observa la participación de otros miembros en las tareas domésticas. Se encontró que el celular fue el dispositivo tecnológico de más uso para relacionarse con la familia, los amigos, el trabajo. La virtualidad ha llevado a los adultos a desarrollar habilidades digitales, siendo los jóvenes quienes han logrado este cometido en mayor medida.
