In addition, other recovery efforts are addressed that, despite being less known, are an integral part of this cultural process. This study offers a broad look at the dynamics of patrimonialization, considering the social and symbolic impact of the returns on historical memory.Este artículo examina el proceso de devolución de libros al Perú por parte del gobierno chileno entre los años 2007 y 2017, expoliados durante la Guerra del Pacífico. La atención sobre el tema se ha enfocado principalmente en los hechos históricos y la devolución oficial, destacando los múltiples actores, momentos y factores involucrados en la transformación de estos libros en bienes patrimoniales. Además, se abordan otras gestiones de recuperación que, a pesar de ser menos conocidas, forman parte integral de este proceso cultural.
