Descripción
Sumario:The article analyzes the Olympic Village of Rome built for the 1960 games, where important buildings conceived by Pier Luigi Nervi for this sporting event are located. The villa is a set of volumes and spaces within a large green space where visitors of different ages come with the intention of encouraging their athletes, listening to a concert or enjoying a day of rest. Nervi’s buildings that this text reviews are part of the history of twentieth-century architecture linked to reinforced concrete, proposals that are recognized for their great plasticity.
