The universe was constituted by the undergraduate students enrolled in 2021 in two national universities and a private one. A sample was used for convenience. 109 students from the Schools of Communication of the Federico Villarreal National University (Lima), National University of Piura (Piura,) and the Santo Toribio of Mogrovejo University (Chiclayo) participated. The critical level of digital text comprehension in relation to autonomous learning indicates a slight improvement in comparison to the other levels in terms of correlation; however, it is significant at a confidence level of 95%. Keywords: autonomous learning - comprehension of digital texts - intrinsic motivation - strategiesEl objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la relación entre el aprendizaje autónomo y la comprensión de textos digitales en estudiantes de Comunicación de tres universidades peruanas. La investigación fue de nivel correlacional y el diseño no experimental. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y se aplicaron dos cuestionarios mediante Microsoft Forms. El universo estuvo constituido por los estudiantes de pregrado matriculados el año 2021 en dos universidades nacionales y una particular. Se empleó una muestra por conveniencia. Participaron 109 estudiantes de las Escuelas de Comunicación de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal (Lima), Universidad Nacional de Piura (Piura) y Universidad Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo (Chiclayo). El nivel crítico de la comprensión de textos digitales en relación al aprendizaje autónomo indica una ligera mejora en comparación con los otros niveles en lo referente a la correlación; sin embargo, resulta significativa a un nivel de confianza del 95%.
