The instruments used were the Academic ProcrastinationScale (EPA) and the Self-Assessment Inventory of Exam Anxiety (IDASE). The sample consisted of280 students from two Adventist schools in Lima, who range between the ages of 14 and 17 of bothsexes. Results: There is a significant relationship between academic procrastination and test anxiety(rho = 0.118, p = 0.05), as well as in its dimension of postponement of activities and test anxiety (rho= 0.152 *, p = 0.011). Finally, it was found that the academic self-regulation dimension is not relatedto exam anxiety (rho = 0.091, p = 0.131). Conclusion: Therefore, there is a significant relationshipbetween academic procrastination and exam anxiety in high school students.Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre procrastinación académica y ansiedad en estudiantes detercero, cuarto y quinto año del nivel de secundaria. Metodología: De enfoque cuantitativo, diseñono experimental, de corte transversal y de alcance correlacional, ya que no se manipularon lasvariables, se midió en un momento determinado y se busca determinar si existe relación entre laprocrastinación académica y ansiedad ante los exámenes. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron Escalade Procrastinación Académica (EPA) y el Inventario de autoevaluación de la Ansiedad ante Exámenes(IDASE). La muestra estuvo conformada por 280 estudiantes de dos colegios Adventistas de Lima, queoscilan entre las edades de 14 y 17 años de ambos sexos. Resultados: Existe relación significativaentre la procrastinación académica y ansiedad frente a los exámenes (rho= 0.118, p=0.05), asícomo en su dimensión de postergación de actividades y ansiedad ante los exámenes (rho=0.152*,p=0.011). Finalmente, se encontró que la dimensión de autorregulación académica no se relacionacon la ansiedad ante los exámenes (rho=0.091, p=0.131).
