The reasons were between others, of using the theoretical arsenal of the anthropology an also of exotizar to the actors of the above-mentioned movements.Este artículo discute el uso del concepto de “utopía andina” por las ciencias sociales de los años 80. Fue usada no sólo para caracterizar el “ciclo de rebeliones” del sur andino y las invasiones campesinas de mediados del siglo XX, sino también para explicar (en un primer momento), la aparición de Sendero Luminoso en Ayacucho.
