Descripción
Sumario:In the present study, the numerical simulation of marine currents in the Callao Bay was carried out, taking into account meteorological forcing forces,  the ELCOM Model (Estuary, Lake and Coastal Ocean Model) was adapted and con?gured, a 3D  hydrodynamic model designed for the numerical simulation of the hydrodynamics and  thermodynamics, the results of the simulation  show that the model can determine with a good approximation the spatial and temporal variation of the magnitude of the marine currents, which have been contrasted with ?eld measurements, obtaining as a result a minimum error of 1.39 % and maximum of 42.25 %. The model correctly simulated the surface level of the marine currents in the Callao Bay for the period of May 2016.
