Its protection and its conservation go beyond the monumental and archaeological dimension involving the territorial management from a conception that takes into account both the cultural heritage and the cultural landscape.Qhapaq Ñan fue la arteria principal de una profusa red de caminos que se tejió en los Andes en tiempos del Imperio Inca y que conectó territorios pertenecientes hoy a seis países. Este camino expresó una forma de concebir y manejar el territorio que ha sufrido cambios históricos intensos, pero en partes, mantiene vivo su valor y funcionalidad hasta nuestros días.
