The observations proceeded of the samples collected periodically between 1992-2004 in the Ancón Bay (77º11' W −11º46' S).El presente trabajo informa de la presencia de Dinofurcula cf. ventralis, un dinoflagelado extremadamente raro que no ha sido registrado para el Pacífico peruano desde su descripción original. También se informa de dos primeros registros para el Perú, Protoperidinium thulesense y Protoperidinium paulseni.
