The methodologies by Coll-Florit y Climent (2019) and Saban et al. (2007) were used. It was demonstrated that the conceptualization of ASD is closely related to opposition to forces and nature. Regarding the teachers, a resistance to change their educational paradigm is outlined, and the mental-health specialists are conceived as passive agents.El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la representación del trastorno del espectro autista (TEA) por parte de progenitores de hijos diagnosticados con esta condición, en Chile. Específicamente, se abordó la representación de 1) el TEA como alteración, 2) su autoimagen como madres y padres, 3) sus hijos con TEA, y 4) los profesores y especialistas de salud mental. Para la identificación y clasificación de metáforas se utilizaron las metodologías de Coll-Florit y Climent (2019), y Saban et al. (2007). Se evidenció que la conceptualización del TEA y la autoimagen de los progenitores están relacionadas con la contraposición de fuerzas y la naturaleza. De los profesores, resalta la resistencia al cambio de paradigma educativo, y de los especialistas, su pasividad.O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a representação do Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) por pais de crianças diagnosticadas com TEA, no Chile, sobre: 1) TEA como transtorno, 2) a sua auto-imagem como mães e pais, 3) a sua criança com TEA, e 4) professores e especialistas em saúde mental. A metodologia de Coll-Florit e Climent (2019) e Saban et al. (2007) foi utilizada para identificar e classificar metáforas. Verificou-se que a conceptualização do TEA e a sua auto-imagem estão relacionadas à oposição de forças e a natureza.
