Descripción
Sumario:In this paper we present the results obtained in the determination of the Index Cardio-Thoracic Danzer, because it offers a particular interest, both because of contradictory data have been found, as because it has allowed to confirm the widening of the rib cage dwellers height, which has been noted by other authors. Danzer's proposed as a simple method for assessing the cardiac enlargement in cephalometric, Cardio-Thoracic index is to measure the transverse diameter of the heart in the classic and usual way and then the maximum transverse diameter of the chest radiograph in the same; aucerdo with the author of the transverse diameter of the heart must not exceed 50% of the diameter of the thorax in normal conditions, appreciating heart enlargement by increasing the percentage of its diameter relative to the thorax.
