The section, was founded in 1910 in the former School of Engineers. Its foundation was the result of a process initiated during the last decades of the 19th century and the first graduated was Emilio Harth Terré in 1925. In 1930 the Society of Architects asked to develop a Reform Project for the Architectural Education in the School of Engineers. This reform would lead to intensify properlyarchitectural studies. The following year a reform was held at the School and new study plans were provided for all the sections. In this paper study plans are shown as an evidence of the first attempts to conceive a professional career with an identity of its own and different from engineering between years 1910 and 1931.La Sección de Arquitectos Constructores fue el espacio donde se inició la educación en arquitectura en el Perú. La sección se creó en 1910 en la antigua Escuela de Ingenieros. Su creación fue el resultado de un proceso que se inició en las últimas décadas del siglo XIX y el primer graduado fue Emilio Harth Terré en 1925. En 1930 la Sociedad de Arquitectos encarga la elaboración de un Proyecto de Reforma y Ampliación de la Enseñanza de la Arquitectura en la Escuela de Ingenieros.Esta reforma permitiría intensificar el estudio de la Arquitectura con cursos más apropiados. El año siguiente se llevó a cabo, en la Escuela de Ingenieros, la reforma que dispuso los nuevos planes de estudios para todas las secciones.
