Descripción
Sumario:The Section of Constructor Architects was the place where architectural education in Peru started. The section, was founded in 1910 in the former School of Engineers. Its foundation was the result of a process initiated during the last decades of the 19th century and the first graduated was Emilio Harth Terré in 1925. In 1930 the Society of Architects asked to develop a Reform Project for the Architectural Education in the School of Engineers. This reform would lead to intensify properlyarchitectural studies. The following year a reform was held at the School and new study plans were provided for all the sections. In this paper study plans are shown as an evidence of the first attempts to conceive a professional career with an identity of its own and different from engineering between years 1910 and 1931.
