Technical diagnosis of Diesel engines through statistical analysis of lubricating oil

Presently article is shown the methodology based on statistical analysis, which evaluates the results of the laboratory analysis of three experimental tests of a lubricating oil; depending on the time of sample collection, which allows predicting the trend of the results of the following experimental test; and according to the values ​​obtained in the contamination indices, as well as in the variation of the physical-chemical characteristics of the lubricating oil; and with the comparative analysis, the diagnosis of the technical state of the Diesel engine components of different applications is carried out. The results of the use of this methodology for the lubricating oil of a stationary Diesel engine (S/D=190/170) are shown, along with the analysis carried out and the conclusions of the technical diagnoses carried out.
