Descripción
Sumario:The proposed cylinder disconnection method is based on taking advantage of the hydrodynamic phenomenon that occurs in the high pressure line of separate type Diesel injection systems; being very useful in regimes of small and medium loads close to vacuum and in vacuum. It operates with the 12 or 24 volt electrical system, which sends current to an electromagnetic coil that activates a valve, lifting it, allowing the bypass of fuel in the cylinders to be disconnected; Simultaneously, the cylinders that are working do so at full load and compressed natural gas (CNG) is supplied to them, achieving the reduction of toxic emissions and the replacement of Diesel oil with CNG. The experimental tests were carried out in 1994 on a four-cylinder Diesel engine (S/D = 12.5/11), in the Diesel version and in the gas-Diesel version, both in the laboratory of the Chair of Combined Engines of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples, Moscow.
