CRECIMIENTO Y SUPERVIVENCIA DE POSTLARVAS DEL CAMARÓN DE RÍO Cryphiops caementarius ALIMENTADAS CON DIETAS SUPLEMENTADAS CON PÁPRIKA

El objetivo fue evaluar el crecimiento y supervivencia de postlarvas del camarón de río Cryphiops caementarius alimentadas con dietas suplementadas con páprika. Las postlarvas procedieron del río Lacramarca (Ancash, Perú). El cultivo fue realizado en 12 acuarios (12 L) con agua salobre (12‰) donde fueron sembradas postlarvas a 227 postlarvas m-2. Una dieta basal fue suplementada con harina de páprika (Capsicum annuum) en las proporciones de 0, 200, 250 y 300 mg kg-1. La tasa de alimentación fue del 10% de la biomasa por día. El experimento duró 60 días y se determinaron los parámetros de crecimiento en longitud y peso, así como la supervivencia. El crecimiento en longitud de las postlarvas no fue afectado (p>0,05) por las dietas con 200 a 300 mg kg-1 de páprika, pero fue diferente con las alimentadas sin páprika. El crecimiento en peso fue mayor (p<0,05) con 300 mg kg-1 de páprika a los 15 días de cultivo y, a los 30 días, el crecimiento fue mayor (p<0,05) con 250 y 300 mg kg-1 de páprika. La supervivencia fue alta (95% - 97%) en las postlarvas alimentadas con páprika y de baja (75%) alimentadas sin páprika. El uso de páprika en la dieta tiene efectos benéficos en el crecimiento y supervivencia de las postlarvas de esta especie de camarón. Postlarvae came from the Lacramarca river (Ancash, Peru). Culture was carried out in 12 aquariums (12 L) with brackish water (12 ‰), where postlarvae (13.50 mm total length) were stocked to 227 postlarvae m-2. A basal diet was supplemented with paprika flour (Capsicum annuum) in the proportions of 0, 200, 250 and 300 mg kg-1. The feeding rate was 10% of the biomass per day. Experiment lasted 60 days and growth parameters in length and weight were determined, as well as survival. Postlarvae growth in length was not affected (p>0.05) by diets with 200 to 300 mg kg-1 of paprika, but was different with those fed without paprika. Growth in weight was greater (p<0.05) with 300 mg kg-1 of paprika at 15 days of culture and, at 30 days, growth was greater (p<0.05) with 250 and 300 mg kg-1 of paprika. Survival was high (95% - 97%) in postlarvae fed paprika and low (75%) fed without paprika. The use of paprika in the diet has beneficial effects on the growth and survival of the postlarvae of this species of shrimp.
