The type of research is descriptive, basic and non-experimental design, in order to characterize the phenomenon, using the quantitative approach, with a population of 140 farmers, in which a non-probabilistic sampling was taken with a sample of 60 coffee growers, for the application of the questionnaire. The application of the PCI method generates a great contribution in the selection of indicators for the analysis of the sustainability of coffee production, obtaining 7 indicators of the social dimension, 8 indicators of the economic dimension and 7 indicators for the environmental dimension. The PCI method generates a great impact because it facilitates the analysis of a set of variables and attributes in the identification of a group of indicators used for the analysis of the sustainability of coffee production in the La Peca district.La sostenibilidad económica de los productores de café en la Región Amazonas ha estado en el centro del debate durante los últimos años, esto siempre ha sido el problema en el sistema agrícola; por lo tanto, el objetivo de la investigación fue describir la importancia el método PCI para la sostenibilidad del café del distrito la Peca, Bagua. El tipo de investigación es descriptivo, básica y diseño no experimental, con el fin de caracterizar el fenómeno, utilizando el enfoque cuantitativo, con una población de 140 agricultores, en la cual se tomó un muestreo no probabilístico con una muestra de 60 caficultores, para la aplicación del cuestionario. La aplicación del método PCI genera un gran aporte en la selección de los indicadores para el análisis de la sostenibilidad de la producción de café, obteniéndose 7 indicadores de la dimensión social, 8 indicadores de la dimensión económica y 7 indicadores para la dimensión ambiental.
