Descripción
Sumario:The objective of the research is to determine the levels of C-Reactive protein before and after the non-surgical periodontal treatment in pregnant women with periodontitis in the National Maternal Perinatal Institute. The periodontal probe UCN Probe 1-15 Hu Friedy was used for the periodontogram. For the GI dental pieces were used 1.6, 2.1, 2.4, 3.6, 4.1 and 4.4; in each dental piece the inflammation of 4 gingival zones (mesial, vestibular, distal and lingual) was assessed and assigned a value of 0 to 3; where 0 indicates that it is a normal gingiva, 1 indicates mild inflammation with slight change in color and slight edema, without hemorrhage when probing; 2 indicates moderate inflammation with redness, edema, brightness and hemorrhage when probing and 3 indicates intense inflammation with redness, intense edema, ulceration, being found in pregnant women with localized periodontitis and gingivitis are distributed equally with respect to parity (50% primigraves and 50% multigesta) and. In the averages after treatment of gingival bleeding and oral hygiene in gingivitis and periodontitis, the associated p-value is less than 0.05. In conclusion, it wasfound that pregnant women with gingivitis and localized periodontitis are distributed equally with respect to parity and age; pregnant women with gingivitis have a lower gestational age.
