Citizen competencies and socially responsible behavior in students of a public university in Lima

The relationship between citizen competencies and socially responsible behaviors in the fourth and fifth year students of the Faculty of Administration of the Federico Villarreal National University was investigated. For the measurement of the variables, the Questionnaire of self-perception of competencies for the citizenship of Olga Carrillo Mardones and the Questionnaire of self-attribution of socially responsible behaviors (part A) of María Paz Davidovich, Álvaro Espina, Gracia Navarro and Loreto Salazar were applied. The questionnaires were applied to a non-probabilistic sample of an intentional type consisting of a total of 246 students of both sexes. The statistical analysis carried out through the Spearman rho test showed that citizen competences are directly and significantly related (p <0.01) to the socially responsible behavior of fourth and fifth year students of the Faculty of Administration (rho = 0.470 * *).
