Therefore, the objective of this work is to propose awareness-raising actions that enhance teaching and learning to generate a sustainable-environmental approach in the school sports initiation classes, and thereby demonstrate the nature of the science and technology process, to prepare boys and girls to integrate, analyze and understand, through sensitive observation, the habitat that surrounds them. These actions incorporate the dimensions of sustainable development into the contemporary classroom to achieve problematizing and meaningful learning.La investigación que se presenta está dirigida a la preparación metodológica de los profesores del Combinado Deportivo No. 2. “Mártires de Jatibonico”, ubicado en el municipio de Sancti Spíritus, del municipio Jatibonico, para integrar las tres dimensiones del desarrollo sostenible a las clases de la iniciación deportiva escolar para propiciar el aprendizaje desarrollador en los estudiantes, y un proceso de concientización con el medio ambiente, hacia formas más sostenibles de construcción de un sujeto socialmente comprometido con el entorno. Por ende, el objetivo de este trabajo es proponer acciones concientizadoras que potencien un enseñar y un aprender para generar un enfoque sostenible-medioambiental en las clases de la iniciación deportiva escolar, y con ello demostrar el carácter del proceso de la ciencia y la tecnología, para preparar a los niños y niñas a integrar, analizar y comprender a través de la observación sensible, el hábitat que los rodea.
