The methodology used for this purpose is documentary research. Likewise, some theoretical considerations of semiotics and hermeneutics are assumed to characterize artistic expressions as artistic texts. In the first part of the article, two artistic texts about pandemics in the world are reviewed: Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron and Keith Haring's mural entitled Todos juntos podemos parar el sida. In the second part, an approach to the novelties of the artistic texts elaborated within the framework of the pandemic by Covid-19 is made on the basis of two examples: the contest “Miradas artísticas sobre la pandemia. Abrazando la vida” (Mexico) and the collective book “Narrando desde y con el virus” (Colombia). The article concludes by pointing out some of the research challenges surrounding these artistic texts and their possible avenues for academic reading. Universidad Marcelino Champagnat2022-06-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdftext/htmltext/xmlapplication/zipaudio/mpegaudio/mpeghttps://revistas.umch.edu.pe/index.php/EducaUMCH/article/view/21510.35756/educaumch.202219.215EDUCA UMCH Journal; No. 19 (2022): Journal EDUCA UMCH N°19 2022 (january- june); 143-156Revista EDUCA UMCH; Núm. 19 (2022): Revista EDUCA UMCH N°19 2022 (enero-junio); 143-1562617-03372617-808710.35756/educaumch.202219reponame:Revista educa UMCHinstname:Universidad Marcelino Champagnatinstacron:UMCHspahttps://revistas.umch.edu.pe/index.php/EducaUMCH/article/view/215/193https://revistas.umch.edu.pe/index.php/EducaUMCH/article/view/215/897https://revistas.umch.edu.pe/index.php/EducaUMCH/article/view/215/248https://revistas.umch.edu.pe/index.php/EducaUMCH/article/view/215/249https://revistas.umch.edu.pe/index.php/EducaUMCH/article/view/215/548https://revistas.umch.edu.pe/index.php/EducaUMCH/article/view/215/549EDUCA UMCHEDUCA UMCHDerechos de autor 2022 Israel Rivas Romerohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:revistas.umch.edu.pe:article/2152025-05-19T20:28:14Z
