This article analyzes the novelties of contemporary artistic expressions around the Covid-19 pandemic. The methodology used for this purpose is documentary research. Likewise, some theoretical considerations of semiotics and hermeneutics are assumed to characterize artistic expressions as artistic texts. In the first part of the article, two artistic texts about pandemics in the world are reviewed: Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron and Keith Haring's mural entitled Todos juntos podemos parar el sida. In the second part, an approach to the novelties of the artistic texts elaborated within the framework of the pandemic by Covid-19 is made on the basis of two examples: the contest “Miradas artísticas sobre la pandemia.
